YES Iran 2016

It was the first event of its kind in the country: Together with hosting partner Amirkabir University of Technology AUT, myclimate organized the first Iranian “Youth Encounter on Sustainability YES” lab at the shores of the Caspian Sea in December 2016. 18 future sustainability leaders, among them 10 Iranian students, were trained in leadership and entrepreneurial skills and developed their business plans for sustainable ventures.

YES Costa Rica 2016

From September 10 - 22, 2016, a YES lab took place in San José and Talamanca, Costa Rica. The hosting partner was the LEAD university in San José.

YES Switzerland 2016

Under the topic "Making sustainability work – Beyond the Paris Climate Conference: Building mind-sets and skill-sets for a sustainable future", we analyzed local and global challenges and developed own answers. The YES lab took place from 7th to 20th February 2016 in Seewis (Graubünden), a small village in Switzerland.


YES Costa Rica 2015

Organized by myclimate and hosted by the prestigious Research Center for Tropical Agriculture CATIE, the participants of the first YES course in Costa Rica in 10 years explored "low-emission strategies in practice" together with local and international experts.

YES Switzerland 2015

Building  capacities,  creating  memories,  shaping  our  future: From  January  25th  to  February  7th 2015,  34  future  leaders  in  sustainability  from  more  than  20  countries  gathered  in Zürich  and Interlaken for   the first „Youth  Encounter  on  Sustainability“  in  Switzerland  organized  by myclimate.


YES Germany 2014

How can renewable and smart energy systems be realized locally and globally? In the “Youth Encounter on Sustainability” (YES) course, 16 students from 12 countries met in Ankelohe near Bremerhaven (D) from 7th to 19th September 2014 to discuss technologies, policies and practices towards a sustainable society. The intensive training was organized by myclimate and brought together first-rate scientists and practitioners representing the German Wind industry, NGOs, and policy makers.

YES Kenya 2014

Between 28 January and 14 February 2014, 24 students from eleven countries met up in Kenya for the Youth Encounter on Sustainability. The first YES course under our auspices brought first-rate scientists and practitioners to Lake Naivasha. In a transdisciplinary and highly creative learning environment, the participants were given plenty of scope to develop their own sustainability projects, which they can now take to the alumni network (1,500 students from 140 countries).
